Tyco Electronics RPS (Readyprint) Product Information

RPS markers are heat shrinkable marking sleeves for wire and cable identification. When RPS is printed with Tyco recommended printers and ribbons, the marks remain legible, without any post printing process, even when exposed to abrasion, aggressive cleaning solvents and industrial fluids. RPS markers are designed to meet the requirements of commercial and industrial customers.

DESCRIPTION:	Thin wall, flame retarded radiation cross-linked polyolefin heat-shrinkable tubing, assembled as organised cut sleeves in a ladder configuration. 3:1 shrink ratio.
USE:	Identification of wires and cables by computer-based printing onto markers. Sleeves can also provide terminal insulation and strain relief. Suitable for many commercial applications.
PRINT METHOD / RIBBON:	Thermal transfer: T212M with TMS-101-RIBBON-4RPSCE & TE3124 with TMS-RJS-RIBBON-4RPSCE
SERVICE TEMPERATURE:	-30°C to +105°C (-22°F to +221°F).
COLOURS:	White or yellow.
FLAMMABILITY:	Passes UL224, all tubing flame test: average burn time <1 minute; no burning, falling particles; does not support spread of flame.
LONGITUDINAL CHANGE:	20% maximum on shrinking.
TENSILE STRENGTH:	8MPa minimum (ASTM D2671).
ULTIMATE ELONGATION:	150% minimum (ASTM D2671).
MOULD GROWTH:	Print legible after 56 days incubation (ISO 846B) - tensile strength and ultimate elongation after testing.
DIELECTRIC STRENGTH:	20MV/m minimum.
MAXIMUM STORAGE TEMP:	40C (104F)
PRINT PERMANENCE:	Print legible after 50 rubs (SAE AS81531 4.6.2) Print legible after 30 strokes (MIL-STD-202F, method 215J)
